Stanley Knowles was a senior Canadian politican known well for his foresight and as a major Canadian “parlimentarian”.  He was a known well as the “Man Who”.  Mr. Knowles…..blah.. blah.blah…NDP..CCF.socialist figure second only to Jack Leighton ,,,,,CCF..NDP…… etc etc etc etc

Mr. Knowles was well known for several points -  1) that he represented the Winnipeg North Center riding of Winnipeg

3) the only time Mr. Knowles utilized a modern newfangled calculator was the one time he lost the riding – in the disastrous 1958 Difenbaker election. According to the authoritative index Wikipedia: ” He (Mr. Knowles)  lost his seat in the 1958 election that almost wiped out the CCF, and went to work for the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC).

The authoritative media outlet the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation provides a well documented history of the riding.
